CPC32620 – Certificate III in Roof Plumbing

This qualification reflects the role of roof plumbers who install, repair and maintain roof drainage systems, rainwater goods, flashings and external waterproofing components for residential, commercial and industrial buildings. Graduates develop practical skills and technical knowledge to safely complete roof plumbing work in accordance with industry standards and workplace requirements.

This qualification provides a pathway to employment as a Roof Plumber within the building and construction industry and may also provide opportunities for further study within the Construction, Plumbing and Services Training Package where entry requirements are met.

The skills and knowledge gained through this qualification must be applied in accordance with Commonwealth, State and Territory legislation, the National Construction Code (NCC), Australian Standards, workplace health and safety (WHS) requirements, and relevant industry codes of practice.

Licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements may apply in some States and Territories. Students should consult the relevant regulatory authority for the requirements applicable in their jurisdiction before undertaking work in the industry.

Twenty-nine (29) units, comprising twenty-one (21) core units and eight (8) elective units, are required for the award of the CPC32620 Certificate III in Roof Plumbing. Units have been selected in accordance with the qualification packaging rules and are relevant to the qualification outcomes, local industry requirements and the AQF level.
