This qualification provides a trade outcome for wall and ceiling lining in residential and commercial construction.
It covers the skills required to install and fix linings for non-structural walls and ceilings.
The qualification is also suitable for an Australian apprenticeship pathway.
Twenty-nine (29) units, comprising twenty-two (22) core units and seven (7) elective units, are required for the award of the CPC31220 Certificate III in Wall and Ceiling Lining. Units have been selected in accordance with the qualification packaging rules and are relevant to the qualification outcomes, local industry requirements and the AQF level.
There are no formal entry requirements. To enrol with Starford College, applicants must:
be at least 18 years of age and have completed Year 12 or equivalent
participate in a course entry interview to determine suitability for the course and student needs
have an IELTS* score of 5.5 (test results must be no more than 2 years old). English language competence can also be demonstrated through documented evidence of any of the following:
- educated for 5 years in an English-speaking country; or
- successful completion of an English Placement Test.
