This qualification provides a trade outcome in wall and floor tiling for residential and commercial construction.
It covers common construction skills together with specialist wall and floor tiling skills. Tilers work with materials including ceramic, glass, slate, marble and clay and install tiles on walls and floors.
The qualification is suitable for an Australian apprenticeship pathway.
Twenty (20) units, comprising seventeen (17) core units and three (3) elective units, are required for the award of the CPC31320 Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling. Units have been selected in accordance with the qualification packaging rules and are relevant to the qualification outcomes, local industry requirements and the AQF level.
There are no formal entry requirements. To enrol with Starford College, applicants must:
be at least 18 years of age and have completed Year 12 or equivalent
participate in a course entry interview to determine suitability for the course and student needs
have an IELTS* score of 5.5 (test results must be no more than 2 years old). English language competence can also be demonstrated through documented evidence of any of the following:
- educated for 5 years in an English-speaking country; or
- successful completion of an English Placement Test.
